Our Mission
The mission of the Paul Cuffe MST Academy Library Media Center is to create a safe, nurturing environment in which students and staff can successfully seek information and ideas for their educational, informational, instructional, personal and recreational needs.
Paul Cuffe MST Academy Library Media Center promotes an appreciation of diverse literature as students become lifelong readers and learners. We are dedicated to effectively educating students to succeed in the information age, the 21st century and beyond.

Our Vision

Our Library Media Center serves as a integral part of Cuffe Academy's educational program and is the information hub of our school. A school library media specialist administers the library program and provides Information Literacy education through collaboration with classroom teachers. Library services promote a love of reading, support and enrich the curriculum and encourage life-long learning.

Our Goals

The Cuffe Academy Library Media Center will:

:: Provide an inviting environment that supports the curriculum and facilitates learning.
:: Provide scheduling that best meets student and faculty needs.
:: Provide an organized, up to date collection, and technologies that support the
curriculum.

:: Provide materials that reflect the interests of its patrons and encourage multiculturalism.
:: Provide activities that expose students to a variety of genres, authors, and illustrators.
:: Provide opportunities for collaboration with classroom teachers to integrate information
literacy

skills and technologies with the curriculum.

:: Provide activities that promote leisure reading.
:: Provide information literacy and technology training to students, faculty, and parents.
:: Provide a learning environment that develops effective and efficient users of ideas and
information.
