LOCAL SCHOOL COUNCIL
School Reform Legislation mandates that schools are now managed by a locally based management team made up of the principal, two teachers, six parents and two community residents. The L.S.C is responsible for selecting and evaluating the principal, designing a school improvement plan, budgetary oversight and maintaining an effective partnership between all school leaders. Volunteering your time is a priceless gift. You can show that you care about the quality of your student's education by sharing in some of the wonderful things we have going on at Cuffe Academy. We would really like for parents to get involved in many ways.
We would also like for parents to volunteer some of their time at the school. We would like for parents to help with monitoring the sidewalks and playground during the morning and afternoon and helping out as necessary.
LSC elections are coming soon. If you are interested in being part of the decisions being made at our school, you can run for a seat on the LSC. Applications are in the office.
We are also starting to work on School Improvement Plan for next year.
